We join forces to support the most vulnerable communities in the country

For the third consecutive year, the Nexans Foundation financed a project from Fundación Techo Chile in order to promote the construction of a more sustainable and equal future for all people.

On this occasion, efforts were directed towards supporting families affected by the gigantic fires that occurred in the V region of Chile in February 2024, which caused high losses of human lives and devastated a large number of low-income housing units.

In this way, Madeco by Nexans workers developed an important corporate volunteering contribution on September 6 and October 9, 2024, with the aim of improving the environment of the communities “Mirador de Forestal” and “Vista Las Palmas”, in the Valparaíso Region.

During the days, solar lights were installed, making it possible to strengthen the security, quality of life and development possibilities of 124 families living in the areas that are seeking to recover from the tremendous effects caused by the fire.

This work in partnership allows us to reach the neediest communities with support, not only with financial and material resources, but also with the collaboration, dedication and effort of our workers, in order to make a real contribution to development, social inclusion and sustainability possible, electrifying the future of those who need it most.
